Dumenko to Zelensky: Kremlin harms Ukraine through UOC but we're countering it
Dumenko reported to the President that the OCU is concerned about the "spiritual security" of Ukraine.
The head of the OCU Serhiy Dumenko shared on Facebook details of his conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky, who held a meeting with members of the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (UCCRO) on January 13.
Dumenko reported that the state and religious organizations "are partners in cooperation for the benefit of society." Among the areas of cooperation, Serhiy Demenko included, among other things, "international activities and advocacy for Ukraine."
But the OCU leader particularly emphasized the work of the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations in "countering hybrid aggression from the Russian Federation."
The head of the OCU assured Zelensky that Russia "is trying to use Russian Orthodox Church organizations in Ukraine to achieve its goals."
"But through joint efforts, we are gradually achieving success so that the state also feels spiritual security," Dumenko emphasized. What the OCU head meant by "success," he did not specify.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Zelensky thanked UCCRO members for their "work toward victory".
